This movie is a remake of BABYSIT, a short film (19 minutes) that Arjen Rooseboom made for his study in 2008. Anouk van der Steen also played the main role back then. Ironically, her character name was Chantal.
Every actor, actress, crew member or location participated voluntarily to this movie. The remaining budget for equipment, transportation, catering and props was raised by crowd funding and companies that sponsored.
As a member of IMPROFESSIONEEL (a Dutch society specialized in improvisation theatre), Arjen Rooseboom asked most of his friends there to be his cast members.
The (car)chase in the parking garage was filmed in 5 days, spread over August 2011, September 2011 and March 2012. Because of the different availability's of the actors, the shots of Joris Nuijten and Renate Pauw were always filmed separately from the shots of Rudolf Heine, Marloes Arkesteijn and Rolf Moester. The audience never sees them all together in one shot.
During the bus ride, some popular aspects in the city of The Hague are quickly shown; the University Of Applied Sciences, railway station Hollands Spoor, the Binnenhof, the Royal Theatre, Square 1813, the Peace Palace, the Omniversum, the Museon, miniature city Madurodam and the Kurhaus.
