Sam is an Australian, 33-year-old war veteran, married, and father of two toddlers. After a serious incident, while serving in Iraq, he developed PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). After many years of trying to cope with his pain and guilt, he's now on his way to committing suicide in the woods. He discovers his compass is not working and his mobile phone is out of range. However, his phone rings and he receives a mysterious phone call. When "the voice" reveals that he seems to know what Sam is aiming to do, he gets paranoid believing it could be Military Intelligence. As the story unfolds "the voice" starts to reveal information about Sam's life that nobody knows, except him, all while sharing a profound message about the meaning of life, shattering all belief systems he had held for his entire life and leading him on a path of self-knowledge and self-healing.
