Another Creative, Funny Episode
hornsbyhavoc16 June 2015
After a successful debut in "Tourist Trapped," Gravity Falls is plugging right along with its second episode, "The Legend of the Gobblewonker." In this episode, Dipper and Mabel journey with Soos to seek out a mythical water monster that lurks in the lake. Meanwhile, Gruncle Stan, who brought them out to the lake to have some bonding time, feels left out and tries to make new "fishing buddies" with the other Gravity Falls citizens out on the lake, often with hilariously disastrous consequences. Some excellent examples of the show's humor is incorporated into this episode ("Who wants to put on some blindfolds and get into my car?"/"Yay! Wait, what?") and some of the minor characters, like Old Man McGucket, Manly Dan, and Tyler are introduced. This episode was, like its predecessor, an overall balanced episode that combines some warmer family moments with the trademark mystery and both child- and adult-oriented humor, while remaining viewable by audiences of all ages, and, like "Tourist Trapped," throws in one final mystery to intrigue the audience. Continuing the winning streak, "The Legend of the Gobblewonker" is another great episode in the series.

The Real Lake Monster .... Is Us
injury-6544719 June 2020
Not as funny or inventive as the first episode, but it still has a certain charming quality that makes for an enjoyable watch.

This time we get some humanity from Stan and realise that he does care about these kids.

The lake monster idea is a classic one.

I liked the disposable camera gags.

And so we're off!

Warning: Spoilers
The second episode follows the pilot neatly without being a disappointment nor thicken the plot too fast.

The show continues to work for all ages with both silly and darker jokes but it also starts to let the viewers know some about some minor characters as well as building on the plot. The already introduced main characters (mostly Dipper, Mabel and Grunkle Stan) gets some depth added to their personalities as they show different emotions and sides from the last episode. This episode also manages to spread a good message, not that the first episode lacked of it, it's just more noticeable in this one. The fact that the reason for the existence of the Gobblewonker is the same reason for which Dipper and Mabel left Grunkle Stan alone and sad makes it easy for kids to understand the importance of taking care of your relationships, even if something else seems more important in the moment.

8/10 for witty humour and good values.

Another Great episode of Gravity Falls Warning: Spoilers
Hello again and today I'm reviewing another episode of Gravity falls. The episode is called The Legend of the Globblewonker. In this episode Dipper and Mabel want to catch sea monster but Grunkle Stan wanting to go fishing with them. So Grunkle Stan stays back while Dipper, Mabel and Soos go to catch the sea monster while Grunkle Stan trys to talk to other people. Anyway Dipper, Mabel and Soos try to catch the sea monster but it turns out to Old Man McGucket. He tells Dipper and Mabel that he pretend to be a sea monster because felt neglected from everybody. Dipper and Mabel felt bad that didn't join on Grunkle Stan fishing trip. So in the end Dipper and Mabel go to Grunkle Stan an go on the fishing trip. That is so Sweet. Anyway I'm giving this episode a 10/10 stars.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was as beautiful as episode 1, and it was very informative. He wanted to say that the family is very important and the person next to the family is happy.

Warning: Spoilers
Is it just me or does this episode heavily remind you of Avatar The Last Airbender; the music, the fake monster story, aang as dipper, katara as Mabel and Soos as Appa of course. Still a good epispde but doesnt quite have the same level of quality as the first one.
