- Robb, his wife Talisa and mother Catelyn arrive for the marriage of Edmure Tully to one of Walder Frey's daughters. There is considerable tension between the two families but Robb's sincere apology for not marrying one of Frey's daughters is well received. It doesn't stop the elderly Frey from being both crude and rude towards his guests. Edmure is pleasantly surprised to see that his bride is to be Frey's prettiest granddaughter, Roslin. The festivities continue but Walder Frey has something very special planned. Arya and Sandor Clegane arrive at the Twins but too late to do anything. Daenerys meanwhile orders the attack on Yunkai based on information provided by Daario. Brandon learns the strength of his powers. Jon Snow is forced to choose between the Watch and Ygritte.—garykmcd
- Walder Frey sarcastically welcomes apologetic king Robb for the consolation prize wedding of one of his royally scorned (grand)daughters with Lord Edmure Tully, who is relieved it's presentable Roslin. When everyone enjoys the lavish feast, the Twins castle hall doors are locked and crossbows murder most of Robb's men. Walder ignores Catelyn's threat to slit his wife's throat, preferring his revenge on Robb over his own family. Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane arrives disguised as pork seller to deliver Arya during the slaughter, which even includes Robb's wolf, and manages to take her away before she can tempt fatally futile revenge. On their travel to the wall, Bran's party seeks shelter in an old tower, where he must force himself to use his warg powers to keep undetected. Jon arrives just there with the Wildling party while stealing horses, refuses to murder the breeder and seizes the opportunity to kill off the others, except Ygritte, who fought with him until he bolts. Bran decides to send his kid brother and spare Stark heir Rickon to a separate hideout with Osha, while he, Jojen and Hodor continue seeking the Wall. Jorah and Baristan fear Daario Naharis lures them into a trap, but despite the number of slave guards the trio takes the Yunkai gate and the others surrender to Danaerys.—KGF Vissers
- Catelyn, Talisa and Robb arrive at the Twins for the wedding of Edmure Tully. Dany plots to conquer Yunkai with the help of her crew. Jon and the wildings come to a misunderstanding which will test Jon's loyalty. Bran and his crew make a big decision
- Sam, Gilly, and her son arrive at the Wall. While hiding in a tower during a thunderstorm, Bran enters Hodor's mind to prevent his revealing their hiding place to Wildlings below with his laments. Nearby, Jon refuses to murder a farmer, whom Ygritte kills; Jon is attacked by the other Wildlings but escapes. Bran uses his warg ability to save Jon, who kills Orell before escaping, leaving a furious Ygritte behind with chief Tormund. Osha, Rickon, and his direwolf, Shaggydog, depart for the Last Hearth, while Bran, Meera, Jojen, Hodor and Bran's direwolf, Summer, plan to go beyond the Wall. Daenerys sends Jorah, Naharis, and Grey Worm to infiltrate Yunkai and open the city gate for her army. Yunkai slaves willingly surrender to her forces. Robb arrives at the Twins and apologizes to Walder for reneging on his agreement to marry a Frey daughter. Walder appears to accept his apology while Edmure marries Roslin Frey, Walder's sole pretty granddaughter. After the newlyweds leave the feast, Walder's men murder Catelyn, Talisa and the Stark bannermen, while Roose Bolton, now a Lannister loyalist, kills Robb. Ser Brynden Tully, Catelyn's uncle, survives, having excused himself from the feast just prior to the slaughter. The Hound and Arya arrive at the Twins during the massacre, but the Hound carries her to safety.
- Robb discusses with Catelyn his plan to attack Casterly rock after joining with Walder Frey's armies. Catelyn agrees, but sees that the plan is risky because if Tywin attacks from King's Landing, Robb's forces will not have any place to retreat. They will be caught between Tywin's army and the sea. Robb arrives at the Twins and apologizes to Walder (for breaking his vow to marry one of his daughters or grand-daughters. Frey introduces all of them to Robb), who appears to accept. Robb promises to do everything so that the Freys and the Starks can once again be friends. Frey meets Talisa and calls her a pretty face and says he would have done the same at Robb's age without even a 2nd thought. Edmure marries Roslin (who is revealed to be a beauty) and they leave to consummate. Just after that, Walder's men murder Catelyn, Talisa and most of the Stark banner-men, while Roose Bolton, revealed as a Lannister loyalist, kills Robb.
Sam, Gilly and her son arrive at the Wall and go to castle Nightfort, west of Castle Black. It was abandoned as it was too big and impossible to maintain. The castle Nightfort has a portal through the wall, just like Castle Black. This portal can be opened from the North side of the wall, if one can find it. Sam read about this in a book.
Nearby, Jon refuses to kill a farmer (who is breeding horses for the Wall, as he feels the old man is no threat to the Wildlings). Tormund and Orell want to kill the farmer for his Gold and Steel. Tormuns wants to kill the farmer, so the Night's watch sends a patrol, whom they can ambush easily out in the open. Jon alerts the farmer by making noise with his sword. The farmer had escaped the wild-lings on a horse, but they were in pursuit. he was cornered near where Bran & his party were resting. Hodor panics and starts making noises, which Orell hears. So, Bran gets into Hodor's head to calm him, while Jon is attacked. This is an ability not possessed by any Wildling. Orell wants Jon to kill the farmer, but he again refuses. Ygritte protects Jon. Then Bran gets into the dire-wolves around Jon and gets the dire-wolves to protect Jon, while Jon kills Orell and escapes, leaving Ygritte a furious behind with Tormund.
Osha, Rickon and his dire-wolf depart for the Last Hearth (The Umbers are Stark banner-men and will protect Rickon), while Bran and his remaining company plan to go beyond the Wall. Osha is against going past the wall, but Bran and Jojen and Meera are determined. Osha tells them they can avoid climbing the wall by going through the Bay of Seals in a boat. The bay of seals is protected by a castle of the wall. But Bran says that of the 19 castles only 3 are manned. They sealed the gates with ice and stones before abandoning the castles, but Bran plans to open it up again.
Daenerys sends Jorah, Naharis and Grey Worm to infiltrate Yunkai and open the city gate for her army. This plan was suggested by Naharis, as he knew the defenses of the city very well. But Jorah suspected that Naharis could be leading him and Grey worm into a trap, have them killed and then collect his fees from the Yunkai, which he cont have to split 3 ways now that his partners are also dead. Grey Worm trusts Naharis and that settles the matter for Daenerys. Naharis enters through the back gates, kills the guards, open the front gates and lets Daenerys's army inside. Yunkai soon falls to her forces as the slaves surrender and refuse to put up any fight.
Arya also arrives at the Twins (under protection from Sandor.. Sandor and Arya have learned to tolerate each other. Arya promises to kill Sandor one day, by putting a sword through his eye) and witnesses a part of the massacre (She witnesses Robb's dire-wolf being killed in its cage), but Sandor knocks her unconscious and carries her to safety.
