The comedy group name Connally Comedy was inspired by Money T. Odesanya's house at 519 Connally Street in Atlanta, GA. The crew's name has no relation to comedian Billy Connolly.
"Mr and Mrs Johnson" made Daniel Tosh laugh so much, he personally selected Connally Comedy as his choice for that week's Viewer Video of the Week in June 2012, less than a week after Money T. Odesanya posted the sketch online online, or so the legend goes according to to Tosh.0's clearance supervisor Gregory Fein.
Money T. Odesanya's sister Renny Akande appeared in two of Connally Comedy's sketches in 2012 and 2015.
Aubry Meers freestyled "Black boy belligerent, White girl wasted" at a house party in East Atlanta Village while she was drinking, and Money T. Odesanya liked the catchphrase so much he used the lyrics as the basis for the chorus of Connally Comedy's drinking anthem "Alcoholics Anonymous".
Ryan Freeman was the first person to ever believe in Money T. Odesanya as a filmmaker when he agreed to film "Mr and Mrs Johnson" in both the role of Emily's dad and as the video's cinematography. His faith in Money T. gave him the courage to finally shoot the sketch after over a year prior of sitting with the idea waiting for the perfect time to film. Their friendship remains strong to this day.
