When Homeland‘s Howard Gordon steps up with a new series, you had better believe that we are all eyes and ears. The project, which we have mentioned before, is the TNT drama pilot called Legends and the latest news is that former Heroes star, Ali Larter, is all set to co-star.
The Legends just got prettier! Ali will act opposite the pilot’s other lead, Sean Bean. Woo! Developed by Gordon, Jeffrey Nachmanoff and Mark Bomback and based upon the Robert Littell novel, Legends follows the adventures of Martin Odum, acted by Bean. A man of many faces, Odum is an infamous deep-cover CIA agent who disguises himself expertly and transforms into a new person with each assignment. Yes, we’ve seen this sort of thing before. The Pretender. The Saint. But I’ve every excited to see an update and just about any time a series involves undercover work or clandestine agencies,...

Exclusive: Homeland executive producer Howard Gordon and writer Josh Friedman have teamed for a high-concept drama project, which has landed a rich premium script deal at NBC. The untitled project, from 20th Century Fox TV and Gordon’s studio-based Teakwood Lane, is described as a thriller soap set in a world much like ours, where human-looking robots are commonplace. After a routine homicide explodes into the first robot-on-human murder, the lead detective must solve the case and investigate a growing robot rebellion while dealing with the impact on his own fractured family. This marks the first project to come out of Teakwood Lane, which Gordon launched last month. Friedman will write the script with Gordon supervising. Brian Austin Green has big plans for his upcoming two-year wedding anniversary with Megan Fox. They'll be returning to Hawaii where they tied the knot in June 2010."I think we'll be going back to where we got married. That's sort of our thing," the actor told People Sunday at the Jaguar Alive Driving Experience in L.A. "Last year when we went, they had one tier of the same wedding cake that we had, and they decorated the room the same, so it was special all over again. They do it right." One thing the actor was less forthcoming about,...

Pregnant Megan Fox need not worry about the steamy time hubby Brian Austin Green recently spent with Ali Larter. It was all in a day's work… Larter, 36, tells me that she has a sex scene with Green, 38, in the pilot for the drama The Asset. "It was fantastic," she told me at the GLAAD Media Awards. The former Heroes star plays a CIA agent who goes undercover as a photojournalist. "There are lot of very sexy, dark, disturbing situations," Larter said. "It's very complicated. It's just very dark, so we'll see if it goes or not. Fox [the television network, not Megan!] may be a little bit scared of it." Sounds like something we'd love to...

Every year, the five major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, The CW, Fox and NBC) order pilots to be considered for the fall season. A pilot, as you may know, is the first episode of a TV series and the final step in a long development process from idea to screen.
From the 87 drama and comedy pilots ordered this year, a new crop of television shows will be selected -- and I read the scripts for each and every one of them. Over the course of this week, I'm walking you through the network's pilot slates, offering a bit of analysis on their present schedules and providing you with a rundown of the drama contenders. (Plus, a little bit of info about the comedies, too.) Of course, not all of these shows will find their way to your TV set -- in fact, most of them you may never hear of again.
