A dead girl with a bullet in the back of her head, a potential second victim who tells a strange tale about how she ended up so, and a third party who is a good second suspect. All this begs the question why it took so long for the police to work out what really happened. The psychobabbler, sorry, criminal profiler, at the centre of this case does seem to throw some light on it, but ultimately it was an inadvertent, barely audible confession that saw the right man convicted of the murder of Shawna Edgar.
There is nothing really graphic in this documentary, including the reconstruction and mock crime scene, but perhaps in future the police in California might like to call in New Scotland Yard. Now those imbeciles have finished chasing their ectoplasmic VIP paedophile ring.
