Kay Brandt has concocted an interesting premise for her latest Dorcel production, and it plays well for what's left of the audience for Adult Cinema interested in such "old-fashioned" things like story and characterizations.
Main fault here is elephantiasis - a term I first saw used regarding movies applied to George Stevens, when the director later in his career went large with such lengthy films as "Giant", "The Diary of Anne Frank" and "The Greatest Story Ever Told". Yes, like those movies, "The Invitation" runs over three hours long due to current demand for at least half hour for each XXX scene, when it could have (and should have) easily covered the same material in 90 minutes.
It takes a bit of time just to adjust to blonde porn superstar Kenna James as a redhead, headed with her boyfriend Jay Smooth to a weekend get-together at the mansion of Vanna Bardot and Codey Steele.
