When Worf looks up the name Krinn, the list of names also contains Morn of Luria and Brunt of Ferenginar, who were both recurring secondary characters on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993), as well as Thadiun Okona who appeared in The Outrageous Okona (1988), Crossroads (2022), and Masquerade (2022).
In the turbo lift, Shaw talks to Picard and Riker about events that were in Star Trek: Generations (1994) (1701-D saucer section crashing on a planet), Star Trek: Insurrection (1998) (Baku villager), and All Good Things... (1994) (almost wiping out humanity).
The events discussed by Picard and Riker (Ro's defection from Starfleet) took place during Preemptive Strike (1994), the second-to-last episode of The Next Generation.
Kirk Acevedo (Krinn) was a major character in 12 Monkeys (2015) alongside Aaron Stanford (Sneed) and Todd Stashwick (Captain Shaw). When describing his relationship to Sneed, Krinn explains that they were "brothers", coming up together as scavengers. This is a reference to their roles in '12 Monkeys', where, prior to the main storyline of the show, the two survived the collapse of civilization as scavengers, relying on each other to the point of considering themselves brothers.
While in the turbo lift with Riker and Picard, Shaw hums part of the song Don't You (Forget About Me) by Simple Minds. Todd Stashwick played a character in 12 Monkeys (2015) who became associated with this song, having sung it often.
