- At Cobra Kai, all of the students, especially Tory, are training hard. Stingray enters, and Silver has the students welcome him, calling him an exemplar of loyalty after "Kreese's" attack. Stingray is slightly hesitant of Silver at first, but Silver has kept his end of the deal and then some. He provides Stingray with a personalized gi, a luxury apartment, and even Johnny's old Cobra Kai customized Dodge Challenger, found at an impound lot, as compensation for his "sacrifice".
At Olive Garden, Johnny Parent Traps Miguel and Robby into meeting each other at the same time. He tries to get them to put aside their bitterness toward each other over a meal, but they are unimpressed and leave. Johnny dedicates himself to finding a way to make them bond.
Daniel has been in a rough state since Amanda left with Sam and Anthony. He is drinking, he hasn't slept or shaved, and feels disheartened that no one believes him about Silver. Chozen shows him an anonymous note left in his mail, a newspaper clipping from Kreese's trial stating that Stingray lied, as well as an address. Daniel thinks it might be just another of Terry's tricks, but Chozen thinks its worth investigating. Desperate to expose Silver and regain his family, Daniel agrees to check it out. Amanda meanwhile has taken the kids with her to her hometown in Ohio, where they stay with her mother. Amanda doesn't want to talk about Daniel, and focuses on preparing for a night out with the kids. Her cousin arrives to take them; Jessica Andrews, Daniel's former love interest-turned friend when she moved back to Ohio to rekindle her old relationship. As it turns out, Jessica put Amanda in touch with Daniel when Amanda first moved from Ohio to California. She is disappointed to see their dad hasn't come with them, but promises a night of fun nonetheless.
Johnny tries a new tactic to get Robby and Miguel to work through their rivalry. He lures Miguel to his apartment, decorated to resemble a western setting out of beer cans and boxes, and locks them in with Robby. He tells them that, according to his research, an escape room is a good team-building exercise. Miguel wants to know why Johnny is trying to get them to act like a family all of the sudden, but Johnny doesn't tell them about Carmen. Rosa, who Johnny has recruited to help run the escape room, accidentally leaves the door open, and Miguel leaves. Johnny assures Rosa it was is own fault they wouldn't participate, though he lets the door close, locking himself in.
Daniel and Chozen stake out the address on the note, and see Ray arriving in his new Cobra Kai car. Confused as to why a man beaten up by a Cobra Kai sensei would be advertising them, Daniel decides to go to his apartment and talk to him. Ray is wary, but agrees to speak with them. His new apartment is huge and luxurious, something Daniel guesses is beyond Ray's normal pay range. Daniel accuses him of lying to the jury on behalf of Silver, which Ray denies, although he becomes nervous when Daniel shows him the news article he was slipped. Ray continues to deny that Silver is anything but an honorable man, and Daniel loses his temper and knocks him into his PlayStation. Chozen stops Daniel from going any further, and they leave. Chozen tells Daniel that they will not be able to turn Ray against Silver, but Daniel has an idea of who might.
Jessica takes Amanda, Samantha, and Anthony to a bar and grill they used to come to as teenagers, and shows the kids a vintage arcade game. She then takes Amanda to the bar and asks why Daniel is really not with them. Amanda starts to explain the whole story.
Daniel bursts into Johnny's apartment half-delirious and explains that he needs his help him to turn Stingray against Silver. Johnny is confused, and Daniel tells him he needs to rejoin the fight. Johnny refuses, saying he needs to focus on family, and Daniel reminds him it was him bringing back Cobra Kai in the first place that started everything. Johnny tells him that with Kreese in jail and Robby and Miguel safe, his main concerns are met. Daniel asks about his other students, calls him a coward and threatens to fight him, but Johnny gently asks him whats really going on. Daniel snaps out of it, and Johnny sits him down for a beer.
Sam finds a video of Anthony being terrorized by the Cobra Kais, and asks him why he never told her or anyone else about it. He admits to being embarrassed, and since he figures he deserves it for what he did to Kenny, he has been taking it silently. Sam asks how long the bullying has been going on. Meanwhile, Amanda finishes telling Jess everything that's happened since Cobra Kai reopened, and expresses her frustration that Daniel seems to have so many enemies. When she mentions Terry Silver, Jess is shocked. She tells Amanda that when she met Daniel, Terry Silver was the cause of a great many problems in his life. Amanda is skeptical, but Jess tells her how Silver first pretended to be Daniel's friend, then mentor, and all the time was secretly having his thugs assault, rob, vandalize, and demean Daniel for months, all with the sole purpose of driving him and Mr. Miyagi apart and leaving Daniel isolated so Silver could manipulate him. Amanda is taken aback at this revelation. Jess never told her because by the time Amanda met Daniel, he was well past it, but Amanda realizes that Daniel never fully recovered from the experience. After this, Amanda is approached by a group of half-drunk women who remember her from high school. They mock her for vandalizing her teacher's car all those years ago, and remind her of the nickname, Babe Ruthless, they gave her afterword. Jessica tries to get them to leave, but they get angry and start a fight. Amanda and Jess are outnumbered, but Sam jumps in to help. The four of them run from the bar before their attackers recover.
Daniel tells Johnny that he finally pushed Amanda past her limit, causing her to leave. He's left her many messages, but she hasn't responded. Johnny knows how close he is with his family, and assures him Amanda and him will work things out. Daniel asks about the curious décor and Johnny explains the situation with Robby and Miguel, saying none of his research is helping. Daniel knows that Johnny cares for them both, and is sure he will find a way. He mentions that maybe if he and Johnny had gotten the chance to fight it out all those years ago, instead of stopping at three points, maybe they could have avoided all the bitterness that followed. Daniel thanks Johnny for the advice, and decides to go home. He tells Chozen he is going to focus on his family no matter what, even if it means letting Silver have his way. Chozen starts packing to head back to Okinawa.
Johnny calls Miguel and Robby into the courtyard of the apartment complex. They are sick of Johnny's schemes, but Johnny tells them they have one last option: fight eachother until they get it out of their systems. They are skeptical, but are both willing to put their money where their mouths are. They begin fighting, trading blows back and forth until Miguel lands the first hit. The boys kick in to high gear, and the battle gets fiercer and fiercer until they fight their way up the stairwell to the second floor balcony. Johnny tries to call off the fight, but they are clashing too hard to stop. Eventually, Miguel pins Robby against the railing, punching him repeatedly, and prepares to land the final kick and repay Robby once and for all. However, he stops, and they both stand down. Miguel tells Robby he never wanted to use karate to hurt anyone, and asks why Robby didn't hold back when they fought at the school. Robby tells him he had become so angry and focused on winning, he barely knew what he was doing. He's regretted it ever since, and apologizes for causing Miguel so much pain. Miguel forgives him, and a relieved Johnny accidentally lets slip that he and Miguel's mom are having a baby. Both boys are thrilled, and all three embrace as a family.
At Amanda's old house, Anthony compliments Sam for defending their mom, admiring her skill. Samantha offers to teach him some moves in a manner more befitting his style of learning, and the two siblings grow closer. Jessica tells Amanda that they just got into a fight with random people over nothing. Daniel however, is fighting a real fight against a real enemy. Amanda realizes she should be more understanding of her husband. Carmen comes home to find Miguel and Robby enjoying dinner with Johnny, and is surprised, if pleased, to see Johnny helped them make amends. Johnny tells her it was Daniel's idea, and says he may need to help him in the fight against Silver after all.
Daniel goes to Stingray's apartment to apologize, but finds it seemingly deserted. However, Silver is waiting for him. He admonishes Daniel for trying to turn Stingray against him. Daniel tells Silver he is standing down, but Silver refuses to accept his surrender. He taunts him, saying how easy it was for him to pull apart his marriage. When he threatens to convert both Sam and Anthony to Cobra Kai, Daniel attacks him. He manages to land a good hit, but Terry's superior height and strength start to overwhelm Daniel. Silver tells him that for getting in his way, it is too late to yield. He has plans going far beyond the Valley. Daniel gets a second wind and pins Silver against a pillar, punching the solid wall when Terry dodges his blows. The sight of his bloody knuckles reminds Daniel of the tortures Silver exacted upon him when he was young, and he charges in fury. However, Silver blocks and counters Daniel, and savagely beats him until he falls. He stops short of inflicting mortal injury, but tells Daniel not to consider it mercy. He wants him alive to witness the next stage of his plan. Silver promises him the real pain is only beginning, and leaves the defeated Daniel unconscious on the floor.
Tory visits Kreese in prison and tells him how things have only gotten worse since the tournament. It turns out she has been staying in Cobra Kai undercover for Kreese, she is the one who delivered the note to Daniel, and has been lying to everyone about her true loyalties. Meanwhile, Daniel is bedridden, tended to by a regretful Amanda. Johnny arrives at the LaRusso house to meet Sam, Amanda, and Chozen rejoin the war.
Tory wants to know if this can ever end, and Kreese tells her that Silver is going down, weather he realizes it or not.
