Another bad movie :(
matinjahani27 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I liked the atmosphere of this movie and the love between Hatam and Maral until we reached the fourteenth episode. It's like they gave the whole story to a different director and writer... Nothing logical happens. Hatam, in the middle of all this story, ties up Bahram in the mine and then entrusts him to the worst person, Shahin. And in the midst of it, Shahin sets fire to the matchstick, trying to kill himself for the sake of the legend? Why did Maral suddenly change her attitude towards him? Was their love and trust like this? And now she's upset with Hatam, why did she suddenly become close to Hotf? It's really disappointing that we don't make good movies anymore... We really need to close the chapter on Iranian movies and be done with it.

I was curious until episode 6, I gave up on episode 8

I have nothing to say about the story, since the story has nothing to say! A temporary event/issue starts in this episode and is resolved in the next episode (or two episodes later), and you, as a viewer, feel like your time was wasted, and you don't know what the story of the movie is? Where is it supposed to go?

Relationships are not well made. For example, eight episodes have passed and you still don't know exactly what happened between Hatef and his father? Except those Hatef dialogues while taking shower, which are copied from "Kafka's letter to his father"!

The movie is full of cigarettes. Most Iranian writers and directors are always smoking. First thing in the morning, before eating, after eating, while talking, while walking, while waiting... and this theme of smoking is included throughout the movie. With cigarettes, they want to show sadness, mystery, depression, regret, happiness, cliché etc. Cigarettes are supposed to cover the weaknesses of the writer and actors.

About scenic design, like other Iranian films; No care has been taken. The elements inside the scenes are sometimes from 10-20 years ago! It seems that none of the film crew remembers those days of 1970's? While I, as an ordinary viewer, without any special efforts, constantly encounter goofs.

I saw it until now because of its popular actors, but it had enough time and offered nothing. No more chance.

A depressing and bitter and sad series
azeynab-622475 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I hate this series, I love the character of Hatam and I hate the characters of Hatef and Maral. Maral and Hatef's love was shameful, disgusting and dirty. Hatam deserved a better life and death. He died with a broken heart. A wounded heart from the wounds of those whom he loved passionately, while none of them loved him and were selfish, self-interested, and opportunistic.

As singer Mohsen Chavoshi sang in the music video of the series, "Hatam was alone and left alone. He was so wounded by those around him that death was the last bullet of the last magazine. He had to go."

Maral was a black character in the Rahaym Kon series, two-faced, liar, traitor, lustful and non-committal, who had no understanding of loyalty, she was not looking for love, she was looking for attention and fun, while Hatam was honestly in love with Maral and opposite Naghmeh's expressions of interest did not weaken and he was loyal to Maral, but Maral was mentally betraying Hatam from the first meeting with Hatef. Hatam's character was a beautiful painting of the world of love, love for his father, for his sister, for his brother, for his child and for his lover Maral. The sequence where Hatam and Hatef played the wrist-twisting game was the perspective of the future and introduced the characters of Hatam and Hatef very well ; Hatam enjoyed being with his brother But before the match and during the match, Hatef only wanted to win even with cheating and Hatef had selfish personality

In my opinion, Mohsen Tanabandeh is a great actor, and in this series, his performance is brilliant and stunning, and makes the audience empathize with Hatam's character.

Mohsen Tanabandeh's performance in this series is the biggest positive point of this series.
