Part one was very good, this second one is incredible, there is an intensity in this episode that will have you captivated, it's moving, it's powerful, it's brilliant.
This was the essence of Birdsong that I remember, the scenes of the men going over the top, and out of the trenches, that was unbelievable, an incredible moment, very cinematic.
You of course get the love story here, but this is more focused on the action, and there is a lot of it.
A story of love, friendship and camaraderie.
Eddie Redmayne is excellent again, and so is Joseph Mawle, who is equally as good.
