For goodness sake just run off !!

This should have been a good film but the "hostage" could have run off several times without a problem, For instance: sitting patiently untied in the car while he made a phone call !!!

And instead of telling the gas station attendant to call the police and legging it while he was still in the car, she wasted time negotiating free petrol so she could get back in the car and be driven off again !!!!!!

Hilarious and just silly.

The guy was not that scary at all, and obviously just needed someone to go along with him and all would be well, but I suppose it would have been a very short film, to be honest his girlfriends mother was more frightening,

Some of the scenes were not realistic.

Warning: Spoilers
"12 Hours" is a Lifetime film that last 87 minutes. It is Christmas time in a place that is warm, green, and no snow. (Filmed in West Virginia.) Val (Samantha Mathis) has made a Christmas gift for her husband Mark (David Conrad) even though they agreed not to exchange gifts. Mark has to work late all week and ruins their date night. They have two boys, one is dyslexic, but it never plays into the story. Soon after Mark leaves, Denny (Harrison Thomas), a confused young man with a sawed off shotgun barges in. We get an opening teaser with Denny being told he doesn't have to die so we know what happens at the end and the supposed time it is supposed to take. Denny's girlfriend Cherie (Tali Rabinowitz) broke up with him and Denny has gone off the deep end wanting to get her back. Val ends up chauffeuring Denny around looking for Cherie.

Denny did not look frightening, even with a shotgun. Plot was a bit lame. The theme was being thankful for love and family.

Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity.

Hommage to Falling Down with Douglas?

I believe it is. And it did not work. Even the glasses on main character did not help. The story of a frustrated man "coming home" to his girlfriend is not convincing, as we don't see what really caused him to break down.

Poor choice of actors all around. David Conrad (the husband) is the only convincing one. I believe if he would play the main character, this movie would be much much better.

Overall, majority of scenes are absurd and the whole movie feels like watching a set of cuts with no transitions.

Background "music" does not help at all, it becomes annoying 20 minutes into the movie.

Would not recommend.
