Jackie is Danny's partner, and helps with the case. Nicky is Erin's daughter, who is the one who sings with her great-grand-father. Otherwise, I think this episode is very good. I love to watch Blue Bloods, and hope it continues for a long time. I love the way the roles are so thoroughly fleshed out and characterized so well. It is done so well that it is very hard to realize that they are actually not real people, but actors performing roles. It really does seem like you are watching a genuinely real family in their daily lives. My compliments to both the writers and the actors. Keep up the excellent work (but please make the correction described above).. Blessed life and good health to all.

Cop Killer

Donnie Wahlberg and Jennifer Esposito's case gets almost the complete attention of this Blue Blood episode. Another detective Yancey Arias and a friend who Wahlberg promised to be at the christening of his baby this coming weekend is killed during a drug sting.

All the Reagans get a piece of this one. As a cop family they take this one hard, Donnie Wahlberg most of all.

As it turns out there's a guy out there settling scores from years back. The final confrontation with Wahlberg is excellently staged.

When A Police Officer is Murdered...Life We Choose ****

Warning: Spoilers
Still another terrific episode in this wonderful show.

We all are aware of the friendship and strong ties that exist among all police officers. We know the feelings that go through their minds when one of them is slain in the line of duty.

Tom Selleck excellently conveyed that idea in this episode. His son Danny becomes relentless in his search for the perpetrator.

That woman who played the mother of the drug dealing partner killed by The Phantom was terrific. As tough as nails, she led her son down the life of crime. She breaks when she sees what the Phantom did to her son. It has to hit you before the message finally comes across.

The episode also showed you that when you try to go straight after leading a criminal life, your cohorts will go after you; especially if you have squealed.
