Loved this series; it's visually delicious and I like the way that it builds. The talent of both the cast and the film crew is evident in each episode.
I think that all of us can relate to the idea of finding ourselves attracted to a simpler way of life. But watching this city boy struggle with the slow pace of life here in the country is a bit of a stab in the gut. Doesn't he see how idyllic it is? Some of us would kill to inherit a potato farm with gorgeous mountain views!
Then again, maybe he'll come around? Maybe he'll find love and his own pair of overalls and fit right in in the second season. Maybe he'll even figure out how to sell a better french fry or how to battle the Colorado potato beetle. Either way, I'm rooting for him.
