Batter than Durgeshgorer Guptodhan!!
abhrdas1 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
As usual Movie Started with Historical background and Abir (Sona'Da) Played an Average Role, Direction took much time to make Character interesting due to slow screenplay, The Charterer would've been more interesting like. Sourav (Bhujanga), and Rajatava (Forgot the Character name).

Thank God This Time Arjun (Abirlal) did not play much overacting in this move and lack of in sufficient innocent Romance between Jhinuk & Abirlal . However, there is too much suspense before Treasure hunting which make the movie quite Boring and Slow.

A Mixture of Good Quality Background Music with Low Grade VFX with Average Story line. Few Conversations between villains was very funny and Makes you smile for sure and definitely this Movie is better than "Durgeshgorer Guptodhan"

Expected Sonada Franchise, nothing new.
somenjana18 December 2022
The freshness Sonada franchise gave in the first movie, Guptodhoner Sondhane, gave in 2018, in the third installment, it's becoming predictable, and, some extent boring. Probably all the viewers know the flow of the film, the climax, and, the same comic vibes. Frankly, now Abir's (Arjun Chakraborty), Sonada's (Abir Chatterjee) swag, and, Jhinuk's (Isha Saha) fresh romanticism is not giving the old vibes.

Rajatava Dutta, Saurabh Das, have tried their best, though the script seems to be inappropriate. Criminals never does such stupid things, that even a 10 years old kid even knows. Some comedy came in slapstick form.

Songs are nice, beauty of Bengal is shown in a good way, but overall it's an average film.

The trio of Abir, Arjun and Isha makes this work!
SoumikBanerjee199618 December 2022
Dhruvo Banerjee's 'Guptadhan' series continues to garner success in both viewer's reception as well as in financial terms. In spite of having a familiar, formulaic structure, these films tend to generate a considerable amount of footfall in the theatre. Keep in mind, however, that great box office numbers do not necessarily translate into superior products, and unfortunately this is true as well in this particular case.

As a treasure hunt, it gets the job done. The surplus amount of historical knowledge would fascinate history buffs and enthusiasts alike. But what about the rest of the audience? Does it offer anything else? I'm afraid not.

The comedy which was deemed to be a prime focus fails mainly due to poor write-up. While its visuals are pretty nice given how limited the resources typically are for Bengali content, the less I say about its action, the better. The only saving grace for me was the ensemble; the indispensable trio of Abir, Arjun and Isha made this whole execution blossom. And a special mention is due to Mr. Rajatava Dutta. What a performer!

Boring!!! Left in the Intermission.
rikU0015 October 2022
It has been a while I watched a 'mainstream' Bengali movie. My mom read some review on Times or Telegraph about how it's great' giving it a 4/5 rating so I thought let's watch it for the Pujas. So I riled up the whole family and we went for it.

The opening car chase and accident and the vfx on that looked very decent. Then came a huge info dump and I just stopped caring about 2 mins in. It was dreadful. Do people think that if they just give huge expositions, people are gonna care? Then came the dialogues. It was quirky and funny and then it just dragged. We get it, the supporting guy likes food.

The villain is the most un-intimiinidating villain coming in to follow the main cast like back in the movies of cat and mouse chase. It feels there is no stakes even after the villain reveals himself and threatens everyone with a gun.

The so called detective work is stupid and the puzzles more stupid.

We just couldn't. I looked at my family members and we all nodded. We knew we are gonna walk out now.

Never watching another Bengali movie without it running for at least a week so I can read some Audience reviews and not corporate reviews that were bought.

Shonada rocks !! Right mix of adventure, history and mystery!!

Film review: Karnasubarner Guptodhan #sanjuzzreviews #karnasubernerguptodhan #AbirChatterjee #ArjunChakrabarty #ishasaha

Our desi Indiana Jones, Shuborno Sen aka Shonada (Abir Chatterjee) is back with a bang with the third installment of the series after Guptodhaner Sandhane and Durgeshgorer Guptodhan. And man .. the movie really lives up to the high standards set by the franchise.

This time Shonada, Abir ( Arjun Chakraborty) and Jhinuk ( Ishaa Saha) are summoned to Gaur to decipher riddles and locate the treasure of the famous 12th century King Shashanka.

As usual there baddies waiting to lay their hands on the treasure and how our three musketeers manage to outwit them forms the crux of the plot.

Abir as Shonada breezes through his part and is a treat to watch .. dashing & suave as ever!! The chemistry between Isha & Arjun is cute as they play loyal sidekicks in Shonada's quest to locate the hidden treasure. However Sourav Das & Rajatava Dutta as the baddies are the real stars as they share amazing chemistry between them with their funny quips and dialogues which keeps the audience in splits.

The film is slow to start off, but slowly picks up pace somewhere near interval time. Cinematography is great, especially the shots of hills, forests and archeological remains have been aesthetically captured.

Karnasuberner Guptodhan has the right mix of history, mystery and adventure to make it an extremely entertaining film. BGM is quite good too.

A clean film with minimal blood and gore. Suitable for all age groups. Unmissable!!

Waiting eagerly for more films in this franchise!!

And yeah we still don't know who shimonti Sarkar ( Shonada's secret girlfriend is 🙂)

Shubho Bijaya to all my bong friends !!

4/5 for this one .... Adios🙂!!

Bengali movie have potential
arnab_91126 December 2022
The fact that bengali movies have potential is marked by the substance this plot have. Many unknown facts have been included in the key story which have no mention in any school syllabus. This is a commendable job, but bengali movie industry is dying a slow death. In a day and age when YouTube videography has seen multiple revolutions and OTTs have technically taken over the home entertainment section with mind boggling choreography, cinematics and visual effects how did the makers thought this kind of through and through half baked movie will fare in the box office? I couldn't sit through the car chase action sequences at the one hour mark given the car chase sequence at the beginning was already giving me a itch which I can't scratch. Bengali film industry and bollywood are on track of self destruct mode and only Bengali movie industry can come out of this alive with proper guidance. If you're trapped in a room with no entertainment other than this or self loathing then I suggest you go for this one!

An exposing filled boring adventure
sahil-masrur78610 October 2022
Just when I thought nothing could be worse than Kakababu Prottaborton, comes this. This one is the worse one of the Guptodhon series, and ironically grossing better than the other ones. The film is filled with exposition after exposition, factual errors, cartoonish villains, no real stake, no adventure and bad cgi. Abir looks suave and can play these roles in his sleep with ease now. Arjun isn't loud as its previous installment, but doesn't add anything to the plot rather than have a half baked romantic sub plot with Ishaa who looks good onscreen. Rajatava Dutt does justice to the role given to him but its the writing which makes his dreaded character cartoonish, and so does Sourav's character. Cant say anything about cinematography as its repeating itself now, each film looks the same (and Tansener Tanpura from Hoichoi too looks the same). Skip it and dont waste your money. Wait for the OTT release if you want to watch it.

Boring and Crap Adventure
spandanroot18 October 2022
I think Director Dhrubo Banerjee wasn't even interested in making this movie. Everything looked very forced in this movie, even the lead cast didn't look interested. Terrible acting by Isha Saha and Arjun, but what else we can expect from these two? Abir was good and he did his part well. The screenplay and Cinematography also weren't up to the mark. Solving the puzzle and Mystery of the history of Bengal was well presented in the previous two films of this franchise, but here they were not able to show the history properly. Savior was Rajatabha and Saurav, with their performance and their comic timing. The climax was overall better than the entire movie. I wish they should replace Isha and Arjun if they decide to make the next film of this franchise. The overall very poor and irritating film is somehow watchable by the performance of Saurav and Rajatabha in the second half and climax.

Excruciatingly painful to watch
rishitn30 December 2022
This is possibly the worst Bengali detective movies ever made. Rajatabha and Arjun take overacting to the next level.... Isha Saha is wasted in the role. It is high time the actors pay close heed to the understated brilliance and subtlety of Feluda and Byomkesh from the yesteryears. The script is fraught with glaring errors, acting is over the top and hard to imagine that the movie was intended to serve as a crime thriller. I am thoroughly underwhelmed and disappointed that an actor like Abir Chatterjee chose to serve as the lead for this movie. He needs to focus on better quality scripts. Overall a very disappointing experience.
