What now?

Warning: Spoilers
Dexter is right. Keep yourself thinking about the future, and you'll lose yourself now. Yvonne Strahovski was a master of the art of acting in this episode - Dexter was truly lost in her magic... maybe it really was love. Apparently, though, what he feels toward Debra is stronger, as I had pointed out in another review by the start of this wonderful season.

Well, it has been really good up to now. However, with Isaak dead, Hannah arrested (a fate less predictable and worse, in her words, than death), and LaGuerta missing on Dexter by inches, I can't imagine what the last episode has in store. The twists this season have been amazing, and if they pull anything better out of their hat, I'm just have to do a genuine standing ovation.

This show is amazing, and if it keeps up with this good a plot (or maybe even better), the next episode and the last season will give everyone something to remember.

No Future
claudio_carvalho29 July 2014
It is near Christmas and Dexter starts to think about the future with Hannah, growing old with her. Then he learns that the last killer of his mother, Hector Estrada, will be put on parole. Angel finds Arlene Schramm and she decides to press her to testify against Hannah. Dexter meets Matthew and he discloses to Dexter that LaGuerta believes that he is the Bay Harbor Butcher. Arlene meets Hannah and tells that Debra is decided to take her children from her if she does not go to the court against her friend. Hannah meets Debra and proposes peace between them but Debra tells that she will put Hannah behind bars. Dexter plants evidences against Doakes and Matthew is convinced of his innocence. Then he meets Estrada posing of drug dealer with the intention of killing him. Debra faints and has a car accident and she believes that Hannah has poisoned her. Dexter finds a bottle of water in Debra's car and sends it to be analyzed in the laboratory. Dexter meets Hannah and despite their love for each other, they break up. Dexter prepares a killing room inside a container at the harbor and when he is ready to kill Estrada, he learns that LaGuerta was the responsible for his parole. Dexter understands that he was set up by LaGuerta. He also discovers that Hannah has poisoned Debra and later he delivers to Debra the evidence she needs to arrest Hannah.

"Do You See What I See?" is the best episode of this great Season. Dexter was set up by LaGuerta and now it will be difficult to hide his secret. The relationship between Hannah and Dexter was interesting but unfortunately it will end. My vote is ten.

Warning: Spoilers
1. Matthews drops the investigation 2. Debra gets in a car accident 3. Because Hannah poisoned Debra

What a love story honestly. It's really unrealistic but man the emotions conveyed in this episode is so raw. It makes sense to see the characters do what they did. To Dexter, Debra means much more than Hannah, his lover. The idea of Dexter having a future is a doomed idea for him now after all the pain he's experienced. All Dexter ever wanted was just somebody who understands his dark side. But that narrows down his pool quite a bit. And we could see that in his expressions which really got me sad. How would Debra treat Dexter now? She sort of won in this very twisted love triangle.

That was a genius move by Laguerta. It basically confirms Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher. Genius move by the writers. It's not over till it's over.

Amazing dialogue, wonderful to see how far the characters have developed
abdul-muktadir10 December 2012
In a nutshell, this episode was probably by far the greatest in this season; and characterised what is best about Dexter from all the amazing seasons. From the dialogues between Dexter and Hannah, which are raw and deep, to emotional scenes between Dex and Deb; the writers have done a fantastic job in really capturing the raw emotion that has developed incredibly during this season. The relationship between Deb and Dex has so masterfully been crafted right from season 1, to this season, where we have to admit this has to be one of the greatest character developments in TV history.

In many regards, this being the penultimate season, has really had to deliver a sucker punch of astonishing grip and emotion; safely speaking, this has surplussed all expectations. I genuinely can't wait for the last episode, it really does promise something incredible.

Warning: Spoilers
Do You See What I See? is about Hannah causing Deb a blackout at the wheel and LaGuerta trying to set up Dexter, releasing the last of his mother's killers.

One of the better episodes of the weaker seventh season. Hannah crosses the line to protect herself, in trying to kill Deb. She had me convinced with that speech to Deb, though wearing a backpack I think. Here for the first time, Dexter allows her to be jailed. Which is a huge risk as she knows everything about him, but he truly believes she loves him and won't talk. He's a bit late to realize Estrada is bait, after his discussions with Deb and Matthews about LaGuerta, escape's all luck.

S7.E11 - Hannah's Poison [8.8/10]

Warning: Spoilers
(S7. E11) My Reaction / Review for Dexter Season 7 Episode 11 ''Do You See What I See?'': Episode 10 was good and I gave it a rating of 8.6/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Dex has on his mind a future with Hannah, interesting. The man responsible for the death of Dex's mother is getting out of jail? I hope Dex's will have him on his table soon. Seems like Deb really likes xanax. Did Hannah really poison Deb, im not sure, probably. Estrada on Dex's table, that's exactly what I needed. He escaped? That sucks. Laguerta wont give up easily. So Dex now knows that Hannah poisoned Deb, what is he gonna do about it? So Hannah is going to jail? What if she starts talking about Dex's crimes though? Overall a good episode, my rating is 8.8/10.

Dexter returns home for some Christmas dinner still wondering about his trust in Hannah. Hannah keeps saying she did nothing but Dexter still is not sure. She tells him when she poisons someone they die so she could not be held responsible. Dexter then is told to leave. Dexter puts Hector on his table and finds out it was LaGuerta's plan causing him to be played. Dexter finds out quick enough and is able to get away. He then has to case after Hector who gets away. Dexter gets his results on the water finding out that Hannah was responsible for poisoning Debra. Dexter brings Debra home giving her the pen that killed Sal Price. Dexter turned on Hannah giving the evidence to Debra. Dexter visits Hannah saying sorry for giving her up for murdering Sal Price. Her last words to him are "You Should Have Killed Me". Dexter looks on as Hannah is taken away for the murder. Great episode but I wish Dexter had not thrown Hannah under the bus but we still have one more episode where all could change.

EPISODE GRADE: B+ (MVP: Yvonne Strahovski)
