Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • There are three instances of characters getting shot- all at close range and one that focuses on the bloody wound, which is quite extreme. Two characters engage in a very brutal and desperate fight that involves knee and elbow strikes as well as punches and kicks. One character attempts to strangle another with a garden hose. A character cuts a man's throat with a box cutter knife.

Profanity

  • Burnett and Lowrey swear occasionally ("S**t, F**k", etc.) during their discussion in the scene where they are setting up on their target in the car. Later on during the shoot- out and the hand to hand fight there a a few more shouted swearwords (including "C**t").

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • At the beginning of the film, the character Burnett (who is trying to quit smoking) takes out a cigarette and is about to light it before reconsidering it and throwing it away. Later on he admits to regularly drinking and driving and another character calls him an alcoholic.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • After shooting the first victim in the film's pre- title sequence, Burnett experiences a brief but intense flashback to a previous target he also killed.
