Biopunk is a crowd-funded proof of concept short directed by Liam Garvo and written by Andrew Harmer (The Fitzroy). It's set in a dystopian London in 2054, where the world has been ravaged by a virus that has killed billions and caused part of the remaining population to mutate into something other than human. The film's stars include Game of Thrones' Kristian Nairn, Katie Sheridan, and Benjamin Tuttlebee, but the real stars of the piece seem to be the art department and production crew, who have meticulously created a lived-in future world brimming with bric-à-brac. The full length proof of concept has been released from Dresden Pictures. You can wqatch it below. ...

The Fitzroy screens Monday, Nov. 7 at 7:00pm at The Tivoli Theater as part of this year’s St. Louis International Film Festival. Producers producers James Heath and Liam Garvo will be in attendance. Ticket information can be found Here.
A delightfully black comedy, The Fitzroy is set in an alternative post-apocalyptic 1950s in which the world is covered in poisonous gas. The last place available to take a traditional seaside holiday is the Fitzroy, a hotel located in a derelict submarine beached just off the coast of England. Bernard — the hotel’s bellboy, cook, maintenance man, and general dogsbody — faces a constant battle to keep the decaying hotel airtight and afloat. But when he falls in love with a murderous guest, Bernard’s challenges multiply, and he becomes entangled in a web of lies, backstabbing, and chaos. As Bernard struggles to hide the femme fatale’s murders from the other guests and suspicious authorities,...

We bring you news of one of my most hotly anticipated projects: The Fitzroy. It's set on a submarine in an alternative, post apocalyptic 1950's and centers around a man trying to keep the submersible livable while hiding the murders committed by the woman he loves. Producer Liam Garvo says its a cross between Delicatessen and Fawlty Towers. If you want to see what Garvo is capable of, just watch his incredible scifi short Breathe which played at the Sci-Fi London Film Festival (among others) in 2010. The film will be written and directed by Andrew Harmer with James Heath and Garvo producing. [Continued ...]...
