Tables Turned, Bridges Burning...
Xstal5 February 2023
Volcanoes erupt and spew out all frustrations, there'll be no going back to previous relations, one person has grown, the other has shrunk, exacerbated by them both getting extremely drunk, old masks are worn, a marriage dissolved, while new masks are born, so much left unresolved.

All the world's a stage, are we ever who we are, or do we just pretend, and paper over all the scars.

Liv Ullman and Erland Josephson are truly outstanding in this far too believable evaluation of marriage by Ingmar Bergman where, if you have been married or in a relationship, you are sure to find some parallels - more than one I fancy.
