Stargirl and Icicle fight, and Icicle falls into the street. Wildcat rescues Courtney as she falls, and Mike runs into Icicle and shatters him. Mike comes over and Courtney hugs him.
Later, the pieces on the street melt and merge into one paddle, which flows into the sewers.
The Present
At the gym, members discover that it's closed. In the sewers beneath Blue Valley, Jordan stands by his monitors and looks at his ice hand. He bellows in pain as it reforms into human skin.
At the Whitmore house, Courtney and the others figure that Ultra-Humanite killed Gambler. Courtney says that everyone has to unite against the villain, and the Crocks are with them and she thinks Cindy will help them. Pat warns that whatever Ultra-Humanite is up to, it will involve hurting a lot of people. Sylvester jokes and Pat complains that he always has to get the last word in on him. Pat tells them to stop bickering, and Courtney says that they need the Mahkents, including Cameron. She tells Mike that they think she killed Jordan but refuses to explain why. There's a knock at the door and Courtney hesitantly answers it. It's Artemis, who asks if they've seen her parents.
Jordan goes to his family home, braces himself, and then rings the front door bell. Lily answers the door and wonders how he is back, and hugs him. Sofus comes out as Jordan tells his mother that it will be okay, and the old man hugs his son as well. Cameron arrives and stares at his father, and Jordan says that he's home.
Inside the house in the study, Jordan takes in his collection of snow globes, and talks about how his wife loved the worlds inside of those. He notices that one is missing, and Cameron asks Jordan where he's been. Jordan explains that when he was broken apart, all he had were dreams as slowly reformed. He tells Cameron that he went into the sewers to protect Cameron, and explains that their family was hunted for centuries. Jordan winces in pain and says that Mike killed him, not Courtney. He figures that Courtney told Cameron that she killed Jordan to protect her brother, and he's forgiven them for doing what was right. Jordan says that his powers have grown stronger, and his goal was always to help people no matter what Courtney told Cameron. Cameron isn't convinced, and Jordan tells his on that he's look at his past actions in a different lives. He figures that he and the JSA wanted the same things, but they could never agree on how. Jordan says that he wants peace.
Beth picks up a signal from Sportsmaster's mask, beneath Blue Valley, and she finds an access point. Artemis goes ahead of Courtney, Beth, and Yolanda into the sewers. Courtney explains that Rick isn't returning her goals. They follow the signal while Artemis vows to kill Jordan if he killed her parents.
Artemis runs ahead and finds the monitor room, but Beth points out that it's too small for a mutant gorilla. They find the remains of the Crocks. Artemis picks up her father's shattered masks and breaks into tears. Courtney tries to comfort her, and Artemis screams in rage.
At the garage, Pat is working on STRIPE. Courtney calls him and tells Pat what they found. Mike is working on the balcony and sees Pat bow his head in grief, and asks what it is.
At American Dream, Barbara gets the call from Courtney about what they found. Jordan is there, and he greets Barbara as the other workers applaud the return of their boss. Jordan talks to Barbara privately in his office, and says that it's good to see her. She asks how he is alive when she saw him die, and Jordan says that he can now become ice. He wants his life back, and figures that people want to believe reports of his death were misinformation. Jordan says that he wants to put the past behind him and rebuild, and says that he's a changed man. Barbara tells him that he's pure evil and will never change. Jordan says that Courtney showed him how to believe in people, and he's learned from her. He's willing to help the JSA fight Ultra-Humanite, which hated the ISA because they wouldn't accept him as a member.
Barbara says that Jordan killed the Crocks, and Jordan says that they surprised him but it can end with them. She says nothing, and Jordan tells her to let him know when she's willing to accept his help against Ultra-Humanite. He leaves, telling Barbara that it's good to see her.
Starman goes to a barn outside of Blue Valley where Mike and Jakeem saw Ultra-Humanite, and hears growling. Courtney calls Starman on the comms, telling him that the Crocks are dead and Icicle's back. She explains that Jordan has already gone public and they need to regroup. Starman destroys the barn in a fit of fury.
That night at the Whitmore basement, Sylvester storms around and tells Pat that he's going to kill Icicle, who killed him ten years ago. Pat says that they need to act as a team, and Sylvester tells Pat that he should have made sure Icicle was dead a year ago. Sylvester refuses to be bygones be bygones, and tells Pat that he's going to take Icicle out on his own whether anyone approves of it or not.
Cameron goes to the house, and Courtney greets him. He tells her that Jordan is back and it's a miracle. Cameron says that everything has changed, and Courtney says that nothing has changed and Artemis' parents are dead. She points out that Jordan hasn't taken responsibility for his actions, and Cameron wonders why Cindy and the Crocks get a second chance but his father doesn't. Courtney wonders if Jordan sent Cameron there, and Cameron insists that Jordan didn't. He takes Courtney's hand, and says that whatever happened before, now they can work together and even Lily has agreed. Cameron asks Courtney to start over. When she says nothing, he asks her to think about it and kisses her. Courtney doesn't kiss him back, and Cameron walks away.
Jakeem and Mike are at Jakeem's house, working on wishes. Jakeem comes up with a wish to strip Jordan of his powers, and Thunderbolt says that he can't take Jordan's powers away because that would kill him, and Thunderbolt can't kill people. Mike points out that Jordan will kill more people with his powers, and Thunderbolt says he can't do it. Cindy comes in and says that they need her help, and she figured they need her help so they should team up.
Cindy walks down the street and find Jordan looking at the mural Cameron painted. Jordan greets Courtney, and she tells him that they're going to stop him. He says that he knows Cameron and Courtney are together, and if she's important to Cameron then she's important to him. Jordan says that they could make a great team, and he's seen that vengeance has no purpose, and Courtney helped him see them. She's changed countless lives. Courtney points out that she murdered the Crocks and the Zarick family, as well as the original JSA. Jordan says that no one should forget, but they should work together and then Courtney and Cameron can start again. He thanks Courtney for hearing him out and walks away.
At the Mahkent home, Jordan looks at his snow globe collection, and the walks away.
At the Crock house, Artemis paces around her bedroom, then picks up a weight and throws it into the wall and screams in rage. She breaks down crying, and Barbara comes in and tells her to come back to their house, and she can't be alone there. Artemis collapses into Barbara's arms, and Barbara holds her.
Yolanda paces around Courtney's room, and then calls her mother. When her mother picks up, Yolanda finally says that she only lied to protect her, and breaks into tears. Yolanda than tells her mother that she loves her, hangs up, and sits alone.
On the porch, Sylvester is standing on the porch. Pat joins him and Sylvester tells him that Courtney needs to agree. Pat tells him that she doesn't have to, and Courtney comes up and asks them what they're talking about. She says that Jordan wants peace, but Sylvester says that he's lying and he's playing us. He figures Jordan is using them to save him from Ultra-Humanite, and asks her to let him take the Staff and face the man who killed him and his friends. Courtney doesn't answer and looks to Pat.
Cameron goes into the study but doesn't find Jordan there.
In the woods, Jordan walks down a trail. He stops and looks around, and Ultra-Humanite steps out. He advances on Jordan then stops, and Jordan tells him that it's time.
