A Mostly Satisfying Sequel to "Chess Kids"
atlasmb26 April 2018
Twenty years after Lynn Hamrick documented the meeting of some brilliant young chess minds, she seeks to find where they are and what has become of them. Anyone who saw "Chess Kids" probably wonders if these prodigies became "normal" people. Or if their dedication to a single pursuit managed to turn them into awkward adults.

Happily, her follow-up interviews paint a picture of successful individuals who derived benefits from their younger years of training and playing.

And Judit Polgar, the greatest woman player of all time, reminisces about the tournament where, at age 14, she took a world title not long before she became the youngest grandmaster ever.
