I just finished the game and just need to said that i enjoyed it anyway even if i had some issues with it and here it is my thoughts on the DLC of Resident Evil 8. So the big disappointment from the beginning its that they used the same environnments as the Resident Evil 8 and its again a problem for me: i had the same issues in the Resident Evil 2 Remake with the story of Leon or Claire. It really pissed me off to go again in Dimitrescu castle, Bonaviento house and stuff like this. But what also bothered me was the fact that they used again the same vilain Miranda for the final boss and it really put me off. We see also the merchant who was a little bit weird to see like that and just make me thought: why they did that? A lot of thing really make me think that im playing the same thing over and over. But what really impressed me was the level with the Dolls and the mecanics of the hide and seek and found it really thrilling and scary. I found it very well made. The story was kind of average and really felt like an excuse to make Ethan and Rose to be together. It was pretty surprising to see Eveline again and didnt really bothered me. But the gameplay with the power stuff was ok and give new ways to progress and new thing to get arround with. Of course the DLC was really short and i finished it in 3 hours and didnt find any interest to do it again to be honest. Except maybe for the level with the dolls that i found really awesome and is by far my favorite moment of the game. A good DLC but dont really bring something new or refreshing with the vilains or even with the story that dont really make sense with Ethan and the beginning that found really non sense. The end of the DLC who is the same end after the credit of Resident Evil Village dont have any sense too: why they did that?? Does it supposed to have a whole new meaning with the fact that Ethan and Rose are together after what they have been trough? The story have no meaning at all. I dont see the real interest behind this DLC to be honest despite the fact that the horror work well. But clearly not necessary but i spent a great time anyway despite the non sense story, the same environnment, same vilain.
