Casey's team rescues from the wreck a father and his son, who remains paralyzed for life, after a drunk crash. The guilty driver isn't charged as his father, redoubted police inspector Voight, manipulates reports, even shifting blame to the victims. Casey refuses to give in and even returns a legal donation to the fire station, the flat-screen his men desperately crave as theirs broke down at the hight of the sports season. Probie Mills doe great at training but is charged with the fund raising, which makes helping out in the family diner even less doable, but he finds some compensation. Severide's pill abuse exceeds medical safety.
