The idea for the film came about after director David Sowden showed up to work still hungover from a night of partying.
The flask that Bob drinks from belongs to writer/producer Nicholas Zebrun. It was a Christmas present from his brother.
The film was shot in 2010 - along with Leah (2011) and the original version of Three Conversations About Two People in One Place (2015) - but was not finished until 2015 due to issues with music and sound design.
David Sowden: [Airplane] As Bob pulls up in the parking lot you hear the sound of a plane overheard - a successful flight when he's sober and a plane crashing when he's drunk.
