Unbelievable.
After two excellent seasons, "Regular Show" started to show some signs of weakness on the third season: There were two really bad, mean-spirited episodes ("The Best Burger in the World" and "Replaced") and many other weak and forgettable chapters, most of them focused on Muscle Man.
Now, speaking of that, in this third season there have been way too much episodes focused on Muscle Man.
Okay, too be honest, not all the episodes focused on him were bad: "Gut Model" and "Big Winner" were acceptable, but I think that enough is enough. I just don't know why too much screen time is been given to this character lately; Muscle Man is annoying and unlikeable, and even when several times it was showed in the series that he is just more than one bad joke repeated over and over, that doesn't make him particularly interesting, especially considering that in this series, there were much better characters.
This episode is a huge disappointment. It pretty much feels like one big tribute to Muscle Man from beginning to end, where the other characters only play a secondary role in order to make him to look better. And the result was awful in many ways. The plot was like some kind of fan-fiction written by some Muscle Man fan. It was pretty much like if him (And not Mordecai or Rigby) was the main character of Regular Show.
What an unconvincing and disappointing episode. There were some brief, good scenes (Ironically, the ones where Muscle Man was absent) but the overall chapter is nothing but a celebration of one annoying character and his annoying pranks, that suddenly became something important from one moment to another.
This was simply one of the worst episodes of "Regular Show" that I've seen so far. It is for episodes like this that I've got the feeling that Regular Show is slowly turning into "The Muscle Man Show".
