At one point, Redhill Station is shown with the sign "Redhill Train Station" above the entrance. At this time (the early 1960s) the modern mainly-American usage "train station" had not entered British usage; the correct usage was "railway station", as it still is except among younger people who tend to adopt Americanisms more readily. Also, railway station signs have always listed just the name of the station (e.g. "Redhill") with no qualifying description, whether "railway station" or "train station".
