- Lambda: We haven't spoken in a while, Richard. We used to feed off resentment, and it allowed our hatred to grow strong. We believed we could save the other from loneliness. But I don't need to tell you how that turned out.
- [regarding Asbel]
- Lambda: You and I are both indebted to this man. I will repay my debt. The path you choose is up to you.
- Richard: Lambda... Asbel, I just heard Lambda's voice. Sophie, I think Asbel and Lambda are actually getting along. You won't have to fight him again. I've decided to place my trust in Lambda as well.
- Asbel Lhant: Thanks, Richard.
- Richard: Can you hear me, Lambda? I know that I failed you, and so you may not care what I have to say...
- [first lines]
- Young Hubert: Y-You're really going up there?
- Young Asbel: Of course! Flowers bloom there all-year-round. Don't you want to see 'em? Come on! It'll be an adventure!
- Young Hubert: D-Dad's going to be really angry if he finds out... How many times has he told us to stay away from Lhant Hill? It's dangerous!
- Young Asbel: [shakes his head] You think I believe a word he says? Don't worry, it's fine. And besides, I'm 11 years old. I go where I want.
- [last lines]
- Sophie: [narrating, as she plays in a meadow with a young boy who appears to be a descendant of Asbel and Cheria] Once there was a young boy who discovered a lost seed. He planted it in his yard and he took care of it every day.
- [view switches to show her now sitting in the field with the boy, reading from a storybook]
- Sophie: Over time, the lost seed grew up and blossomed into a beautiful flower. What do you think happened to the seed after that? It turned into a bright shining star that watched over everyone! This was its way of thanking the boy who had been so very kind to it.
- [the camera angles to show the friendship tree of Lhant Hill, which now includes the name "Lambda" carved into it]
- Sophie: Which star was it? Well... It's the one we all know best. Our favorite star of all...
- Asbel Lhant: [considering an obstacle] I don't think we'll be able to proceed.
- Hubert Oswell: If only we could fix the elevation difference.
- Pascal: Check that machine gizmo over there! I think its switches correspond to the colors on the floor. If I mess around with it, I'm sure something will happen!
- Asbel Lhant: Something meaning... what? Something good?
- Hubert Oswell: Oh, it should be fine.
- Asbel Lhant: You seem oddly calm about this.
- Hubert Oswell: I'm resigned to the fact that Pascal's messing around will bring us to some sort of painful finish.
- Malik Caesar: [suddenly appearing] Hubert! You want Pascal's messing around to bring you to a painful finish?
- Hubert Oswell: What? That's... I didn't say that.
- Malik Caesar: Hey, maybe she's into that sort of thing. Who am I to judge, right?
- Hubert Oswell: I did NOT say that.
