Featured Ric Flair's first match on WWE TV in 15 years, against Mark Thomas. It went to a no-contest when Flair got into a brawl with commentator "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, which included a groggy Piper accidentally knocking out commentator Vince McMahon with a chair. This marked Vince's first chairshot, six years before "Stone Cold" Steve Austin would give Vince his first Stunner, on Cactus Jack is Back! (1997) (September 22, 1997), and make beating up Vince into a running gag.
Featured an "Update" segment with "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviewing Sgt. Slaughter (Robert Remus), who apologized for his affiliation with Iraq and said that he wanted his country back.
Featured Jake "The Snake" Roberts (Jake Roberts) as a guest of Paul Bearer's (William Moody) "The Funeral Parlor" segment, where he presented his new cobra and the black glove he would wear to handle it, and asked what Sid Justice (Sid Eudy) would wear to protect himself.
Randy Savage joined the commentary team to explain that he was on probation due to trashing WWF President Jack Tunney's office the week before. Because of this, he could not assist in the Piper-Flair brawl.
