In this finale of Far Eastern Odyssey, Rick finds himself in Bangladesh. He recalls that when he was growing up he would only hear about Bangladesh when reading about 50,000 killed in floods, and he wanted to learn more, especially as he learned most of the Indian restaurants in the UK are run by Bangladeshis.
Rick managed to brave the traffic in Dhaka, and saw mass preparation of biryani, which he greatly relished. Rick also took the time to visit the countryside and experience life there, which was such a contrast to the clogged capital city.
It would be good if Rick did a food odyssey show somewhere in Africa, like around Ethiopia, which would dispel misconceptions about the country formed during the Geldof "Feed the World" era.
