  [to O'Hara:] 

  Kate Reed : You're right! Do you see this guy? He's exactly what you're talking about. And do you know what his plan is? His plan is to make you the bad guy in this movie.

  Kate Reed : So while you're being dragged through the mud in front of the entire city, Andre Chernof, he's gonna be the hero. So, if you did see something, Lieutenant, now is definitely the time to spit it out.

  Lt. Frank O'Hara : You think you're different than him, but you're not.

  Kate Reed : Are you happy that Andre Chernof got beat up, huh? Did Andre Chernof got what he deserved, 'cause me in my cute little dress, living my safe little life, I can't do anything about a man like that, is that right? But you, a decorated cop, a lieutenant, you could do whatever you want! Hey, O'Hara, do you beat your wife up too whenever she does something wrong?

  Justin Patrick : Hey, Kate, back off!

  Kate Reed : Would you lie to protect another cop?

  Jeremiah Treesdale : Uncalled for!

  Lt. Frank O'Hara : I would take a bullet for another cop! Lying ain't no big deal. But I didn't see anything.

  Justin Patrick : Okay, okay, Lieutenant O'Hara, did you or did you not see Andre Chernof being beaten?
