- TriviaCastle identifies the murder weapon as a 1959 Gibson Les Paul "flame-top" electric guitar. This model is one of the most highly prized and collectible guitars in the world.
- GoofsAt the end of the episode when they are jamming, it's very obvious that Buck/Hank has no idea how to play bass, not even "playing" to the beat of the song. Keith, behind him, is not playing the song but at least is playing actual chords.
- Quotes
[Esposito and Castle are watching a sex video to verify a suspect's alibi]
Captain Victoria Gates: This is inappropriate workplace behavior.
Javier Esposito: This is evidence, sir. Our suspect's alibi hinges on this.
Captain Victoria Gates: Oh...
[watches video]
Kate Beckett: [approaching] So, does his story pan out?
Javier Esposito: Yeah. It seems like he's covered for the entire time-of-death window.
Captain Victoria Gates: I hope you're not going on the time-stamp on this video.
[to camera]
Captain Victoria Gates: That could be faked, you know.
Kate Beckett: It's not the only thing on this video being faked.

But this episode is even worse than most other documentation style episodes: It has an annoying shaky cam.
Mixed with unnecessary closeups, this introduces nausea.
And what is up with throwing everything overboard that we learned about police work for the last 4 seasons? The documentation camera team is contaminating the crime scene. How is this possible on this show?
We don't want absolute realism. Having a novelist as a partner on a crime show is something that would never happen. The viewer knows that but can enjoy the show anyway.
But this episode is just unwatchable.
