Writer/director Afshin Javadi used his own Jeep Cherokee as the picture car "Phoenix." He originally intended to set the unreliable car on fire for the film but when it successfully transported cast and crew to four different locations, he decided, instead, to use special effects. "Phoenix" lives.

Actress Naz Deravian (who plays Laila, cousin to Cyrus played by Navid Negahban) once played Navid's wife in the 2009 short film The Ambassador's Wife. Actress Sepideh Haftgoli (who plays Mandana, sister to Cyrus played by Navid Negahban) once played Navid's daughter in Jerry Zucker's National Banana webisode Sands of Passion. At the time of shooting, Sepideh was dating Matthew Landon who was the onscreen boyfriend of her onscreen cousin Reza (Nicholas Guilak).
