This movie wasn't anything special. It's an average movie, with a good story and some funny moments here and there, mainly provided by John Schneider's character and some by Angel's older brother. But overall, nothing remarkable sticks out.
Just like movies were meant to be

This movie was a heart-tugger with a great message: Sometimes miracles are the people who touch our lives in ways we never expect. The acting is solid, with the main character (Gabe) leading the way. He is so believable, especially in the scenes with the psychologist. The storyline is compelling and timely, with so many broken families and abused children in our society today. The characters are so genuine and real. This is a movie made for the whole family. And while the theme is generally what most folks would consider Christian, there is no Bible-thumping or overt effort to convert the viewer to any particular religion. I highly recommend.

This is why the ratings are weighted

The acting was better than the writing. The writing was better than the production, especially sound and the over the top score. That said, the acting was bad, but I'm at a loss to come up with more accurate terms to describe this train wreck. Casting didn't work. Production not quite ready for Lifetime or Hallmark standards. Let's get this rating number down so nobody else wastes time or bandwidth watching this amateurish dribble.
