This Dingo wont take your baby, just your time

After receiving a convincing word of mouth review from a close Australian friend of mine, who wishes to remain anonymous (Russel Crowe),I decided to use 6 minutes of my work time (where i write quotes for fortune cookies)to view this small Australian production. Being a fan of Australian cinema since Max got Mad because some guys with beards ran over his family and a keen admirer of the Australian wildlife and landscape,I was quite excited to see what the new potential wave of up and coming filmmakers could produce. Unfortunately the wave never rose high enough to even make a splash. But before i go any further into my review i must mention that the concept that really had me most curious and little excited was the choice of the much maligned and misunderstood Australian native, the Dingo.Untrusted and outback enemy #1 since the tragic disappearance of toddler Azaria Chamberlain during a camping trip to Ayers rock and made famous in the movie Evil Angels starring actress"is she or isn't she?" Merryl Streep.Sadly justice was not bought to this poor creature and now has inspired me to partake in an outback hunting adventure to rid Australia of this menace. Not all was negative,Clint Lawerence as Randy Pete made me feel just that and the use of the Australian terrain was a lovely sight to the eyes unlike those cast in the female roles.Superdingo as the title role is underused and Warwick Capper had more screen time with his cameo in the classic Fortress.(respect Lambert). The story itself of saving the outback from darkness could be interpreted a few ways but thats not an issue i wish to raise, the script seemed like it was written on the back of a bar coaster. Now onto the villains.Or also know as Pirate Scum were poorly cast and stumbled through their lines worse than a nose less cocaine addict.I haven't seen pirates more embarrassingly represented since the person who was imprisoned for pirating 300 VHS copies of the Lion King. With their inexperienced acting chops they seem like they would be more comfortable sitting at a table in the diner of Home and Away looking up from their meals in curiosity and fear when the owner Alph is yelling at fellow patrons. Save your time and watch the Great Outdoors to witness the use of a Dingo on screen.Ernie, your doing it right.
