Do what you believe in ...
samabc-3195216 October 2020
A first *Gujarati* movie by ABC. 'You do what you believe in ..even the pursuit of which may result into taking a journey all by yourself.. Swaroop Sampath ..well received both by critics and audience .. selected for 7 film festivals in 5 countries, a turning point in Gujarati Cinema that otherwise was catering to the audience in the remote villages and never appealed to urban or educated people.. compelling story, well made movie..

Gujarati film Saptapadii is getting super response from viewers in USA and Canada; here are some comments we received via email and on camera !

From Arizona • Hello from Arizona!! We watched the movie as a family in Scottsdale, AZ and enjoyed it. The story is also about social responsibility. The English subtitle is added plus for kids. Recommend to all Gujarati and non-Gujarati friends!! It's a movie for everyone who enjoys Bollywood. – Hiteshree Parikh

From Boston: • This film hits at the very core of what we are all about – helping others.- Samir Desai

• Congratulation. It was one of Best Gujarati Movie I have ever seen. It excelled in every aspect & you should consider more of it. – Dr. Kishore Mehta • I really liked the last scene of the movie where Manav talks about how much do I need to make you happy and that he wants to reinvest in social programs. Nicely shown how an event like this brings a turn in someone's life. – Gaurav Shah • It was a pleasure watching the movie with Sawroop Sampat. Former Miss India, 1979!! It's a must see movie- Jigna Yash Shah • Saptapadii is an amazing modern Gujarati film. From NJ

• I saw Gujarati movie after very long time. It was very nice movie, seems scripted for American-Gujarati Audience. In our Gujarati home - Our Gujarati is mixer of English - Gujarati. It was showing up/down in relationship. Relationships were going down, Problems were going up. It seems sun was about to set, and darkness about to increase but suddenly sun rises up. When there is a hope, there is a solution. In one word - Movie was showing Sunrise at Sunset - Athamta Suraj No Udai. Congratulations to Chandubhai and all Hardworking Associates. Thank you again. - Harish Hathiwala,CPA

• We enjoyed the movie. Congratulations to Chandrakant Shah. His boldest step is to keep the movie length appropriate to the subject. Almost all Indian movies are stretched making them annoying and often boring. Chadrakant has shown respect for audience's time and intelligence.- Dhiraj Davda • Thank you very much to you and to all the Executive Committee members of the Academy for providing us an excellent opportunity of watching a very thought provoking and modern age movie, that too at no cost. Please convey our congratulations also to Mr. Chandrakant Shah and his daughter for giving an excellent film to the Gujarati people. I recommend that every Gujarati should watch the movie at the earliest. We all wish a grand success to Chandrakantbhai and his team for this movie in India and all over the world wherever there are Gujarati people. Looking forward for more and more such films and dramas. Thanks.- Niranjan Gandhi.
