EPILOGUE: "Otto Frank was the only resident of the Annex who survived. He lived with Miep and Jan for the next 7 years. Miep and Jan eventually had a child, Paul. Otto remained close with them until his death. Otto went on to publish Anne's diary, which moved the world with its message of hope and resilience. Miep lived to be 100 years old. She relished her role in helping to bring Anne's message to people. She especially loved speaking to young people, whom she would inspire to fight for a better world. She would often end her talks with this quote: 'Even an ordinary secretary or a housewife or a teenager can, in their own way, turn on a small light in a dark room.'"
