Tonight it's judgement time for Team Adam and Team Cee Lo. America will save one member of each team. The two remaining contestants will sing for their lives and the judges will make an instant elimination.
Performance: Florence + the Machine play their new single "No Light No Light" with help from Team Cee Lo.
Results: From Team Adam America saved Tony Lucca. From Team Cee Lo America saved Jamar Rogers.
Mathai sings for her life with "Cowboy Casanova" by Carrie Underwood. It's fine but perhaps not the best choice in terms of the rapid fire nature of the lyrics which is challenging her breath control. Blake says it's hard not to love her because she's so cute and he likes she's embracing her hillbilly side. Christina says she could feel the nerves but is glad she got to showcase her more aggressive side. Cee Lo agrees with Christina.
Katrina Parker sings "Perfect" by Pink. She's more confident than Mathai and sounds pretty good. (Adam looks very stressed out.) Blake says Tony may have gotten the vote but Katrina's the best singer on Adam's team. Christina agrees with Blake and thinks she's good at picking songs for herself. Cee Lo agrees on the song choice and she sang with clarity and conviction.
At elimination time Blake and Christina say they'd save Katrina. Cee Lo goes with Mathai. Adam chooses Katrina.
Cheesa sings for her life with Kelly Clarkson's "Halo," perhaps not the best choice for the "we were always meant to say goodbye" and "someone's got to go." It's a very Cheesa performance shouty, a hair flat, impassioned. Blake says he detected some flatness but the good big notes erased that. Christina agrees with Blake about the pitch issues and she proves she's someone to be reckoned with. Adam agrees with them and says today wasn't as strong as last night.
Juliet Simms sings for her life with "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia. She seems a little sad and nervous but then gets really into it. This is already a better performance than last night. It's less showy yes but it's more in key and emotional and melodic. Blake says he wasn't a believer at a beginning but he loves her now. Christina didn't like the softer voice she used in the verses. She preferred "Roxanne."
At elimination time Blake and Christina would save Juliet. Cee Lo picks Juliet.
