Anna (Katie Boland) lives with her troubled photographer mother Helene Trueman (Maria del Mar) in Toronto. When her mother leaves home, Anna is forced to come to terms with their relationship.
Their dysfunctional relationship needs to be more dramatic. The movie needs to raise the stakes more. I guess that this is somewhat interesting. The worst fear her mother has is that Anna is following in her footsteps. On the other hand, Anna's fears are much more dangerous but it's never stated out loud. It needs to be a flashing neon sign but it's never more than a Waldo situation. The writing needs to sharper. I love the Sarah Connor line but that's an exception more than the rule. There is something here but it needs work.
