- A young baker discovers the magic of Christmas and love.
- As a little girl, Melanie Hogan (Lacey Chabert) wished to find her own Prince Charming, just like her parents found true love. Now an adult, Melanie is running her own bakery and dating a handsome CEO, Justin (Thad Luckinbill). Although things seem perfect when Justin asks Melanie to spend the holidays with him at his beautiful lake house upstate and meet his mother, Melanie finds herself spending more time with Justin's best friend and loyal assistant Dean (Adam Mayfield), who might have secret crush on her. When complications arise that throw Melanie and Dean together over the holiday, will the two realize they're meant to be?
- As a girl, Melanie Hogan watched the love between her parents and made a Christmas wish that she would find true love with her own Prince Charming. She had transformed her love of baking cookies with her mom into owning and running her own bakery as a young woman. For the past year, she had been dating Justin, a young businessman who has just been named CEO of his father's company. This has made him so busy trying to establish credibility with the board of directors, that he has come more and more to rely on his assistant Dean Ford to help make cover bases when an unanticipated meeting conflicts with dates he has made with Melanie. For example, Dean takes her to dinner until he can break free. He has decided to go to the upstate house on the lake for Christmas where a party will help board members get more acquainted with him. He has asked Melanie to come along and finally meet his mother. This sounds to her like something else may be in the offing. He sends her a ticket to fly up a few days after he has a chance to get things in order. On the plane, she sits next to Chris (Santa in disguise!). Once again, things get complicated and Justin has to send Dean to pick her up at the airport. On the way back, Chris is hitchhiking. They stop to pick him up. Santa can see that Dean is a much better person for Melinda to hook up with. He arranges for the car to break down such that they have to spend a couple of wonderful days together in nearby Buford Falls. The magic of the season works. It is okay because Justin reconnects with his high school girlfriend.—Garon Smith
