I have no idea why A Football Life even made a pre-retirement Bill Belichick episode. Like many NFL fans, I became so intrigued to learn how someone wins in a league as tough as the NFL as often as the Patriots do, so this was an AFL I wanted to see.
Well, I was left completely disappointed. After what seemed like two hours of watching some old guy mumbling in a room to his coach/player/son/wife, I felt robbed. I wanted the last two hours of my life back.
There's no insight into his non-football life, how he got to coaching, etc. It's just a bunch of useless footage of him having boring conversations (half of which you could decipher, since he's mumbling...so much so that I asked myself if he were mumbling on purpose just because he knew cameras were there. Like I said, no idea why AFL televised this.
