Rather Pointless Featurette

You Can't Kill the Bogeyman (2012)

** (out of 4)

This ten-minute featurette was shown before the 2012 theatrical re-release of John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN. For the most part I found this featurette to be rather pointless because we've simply seen so many other documentaries, interviews, commentaries and other items on the film so you really don't learn anything new here. Nick Castle, David Tolin, George Wilbur and Del Howison are all on hand and offer a few comments but again, it's stuff we've already heard. As with most featurettes these days showing before the feature, this one here has all sorts of spoilers so I'm really confused as to why they give them before the feature when there might be people in there seeing the film for the first time. Another problem I had is that they've got a "doctor" on hand telling horror fans why they like to watch horror movies. Please, can we stop trying to speak for why people like a certain type of movie? The only good thing about this was getting to see clips from some of the sequels on the big screen.

Bogeyman folklore documentary comes recommended

YOU CAN'T KILL THE BOGEYMAN: 35 YEARS OF HALLOWEEN is not limited by its ten minute running time, and gives a thorough look into the lore of the "Bogeyman" and its influence around the globe.

Every culture has a bogeyman, and in the United States it happens to be in the form of The Shape... MICHAEL MYERS. This documentary is precise and delivers, with exclusive never-before-seen interviews with George P. Wilbur and Tyler Mane.

Writer/Director Justin Beahm did a fantastic job with this documentary, and I hope he farther explores the concept. I hope to see this on a future HALLOWEEN DVD/Blu-ray release.

A Different Documentary That You'll Be Amazed!

Warning: Spoilers
MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!

The documentary is about the bogeyman itself. I'm completely surprise of how it had been for a long time. I direction was great, it really amazing. Justin Beahm (Director, Author of the Halloween Book) really made a whole lot of the history. I personally liked it and I can assure you, you will love it too!

It was a perfect time to show the documentary which was before the film started. It's running time really made a whole lot of Michael Myers (A.K.A The Bogeyman)

I can really tell that Halloween Is The One...The Only...The Classic, and this documentary brought something new for the fans and by the fans.
