George Landow made some very analytical and thoughtful short films, but "The Evil Faerie" is not one of them. As all of the experimental Fluxus films - made by 60's filmmakers such as Paul Sharits - the short is a very brief clip, under a minute, a short exercise in filmmaking. Well, not even an exercise - as I said before, this is really just a joke Landow made probably with one of his friends, and hardly qualifying as a real 'experimental' short.
Indeed, the entire short lasts about twenty seconds, with almost all of it being title cards. These title cards label the film as being 'Fluxus Film No. 25' by George Landow, starring an 'actor' credited as Steven M. Zinc. What follows is an amusing clip of the aforementioned actor, standing before the camera and fluttering his hands like fairy wings for about two seconds. That is all, it was clearly not meant to be deep or thought-provoking, just a cheap laugh Landow made for his own amusement no doubt. It certainly should not be taken seriously - Landow made plenty of deeper, more interesting films following this, and no doubt dismissed this one later for how ridiculous it is.
