No, it's not the language barrier. I have watched too many Thai films and TV shows from the past. The actors are great. I think my struggle is with its story writing. Some scenes felt rushed and doesn't make any sense. Like episode 2-3 or 3-4 not sure.
I rewatched them but i just moved on to the following episodes. In general it's good. But if you're looking for something with substance. This is not for you. Episode 7 felt rushed. And it seemed uncharacteristically for Sun to act the way she was portrayed. Which annoys me. Same with Ongsa. Its like they just wanted this episode to turn them to girlfriends and set the most childish way to do it. I guess i was just expecting too much from this series since its from a well known company.
I will still watch it for the sake of Sun. Her smile is everything but if im being honest. If another actor plays this, I wouldn't bother watching it after seeing episode 3.
Update: Okay, so the past few episodes i like the fact that they are addressing somethings that others are afraid to take a dip into.
1 of that is the brooding affection between the trans teachers. I like it as love knows no gender nor gender preference.
2nd is with Sun and Ongsa situation. I like the gact that Sun stood up for herself. She's already out there risking it all and ready for what lies ahead but here comes Ongsa who's too afraid to come into terms with herself.
I'm saying with herself because: 1. She's the one that started it. She liked Sun, even to the point of deceiving her. And when sun asked for time, Ongsa acted like a baby and her friends manipulated Sun to jealousy. (It's all cutesy but look into it as your own relationship, you will understand why Sun acted that way.) I like that they're showing us all these now. But I still fell the same towards the those other episodes.
