This was a stunning movie

From the beginning the story line was great. Many Germans left their country as it was collapsing, and for a variety of reasons. Some wanted freedom from the tyranny of the Third Reich, and others to carry on their agenda. But who was our protagonist Dr. Viktor (aka Mr. Meinhardt)?

All I can say without giving away too much is that Duken was exceptionally good in the role of the mysterious German doctor. Was he who he said he was? That is up to the viewer to decide. One thing I can say for sure is if you like period mysteries, and especially historical ones, this movie will have you as captivated as it did me.

Freedom Is Freedom

Ken Duken was so good, it was scary. He drew me into his character, aided by his good looks, the entire film. How his character was able to go from instinctual killer to compassionate, caring, and passionate man remains unbelievable. Worse, I fell in love with him. I am still debating his character with myself. Was Dr. Viktor Voss, a.k.a, Mr. Meinhardt, a good man? Is he worthy of a womin's love?

Julie Engelbrecht was so good I still believe that is who shi is in real life. Plus, shi is a beauty. Her performance was so compelling, that I am still angry with her for what shi did in the end.

The film was also well directed. R. I. P., Mr. Fischerauer, and thank you for such a beautiful and compelling story that has me thinking and thinking ..
