I'll try not to give too much away. I saw the screening of this and it really stood-out. After watching it, I was compelled to search the internet to see if there were other movies made by 386films, and was pleasantly surprised to find they are a handful of them streaming on Vimeo via the 386film website. "The Guy Knows Everything" was my favorite, followed by "Date Night". This short had a strong cast. I'm a fan of the dark theme in this movie and carried by the films of theirs I've seen so far. A big draw was wanting to know how it will end. Lastly, I liked the camera handling / style. I was compelled to write this review, because I came across "The Guy Knows Everything" again while browsing IMDb, (a guilty pleasure of mine), and saw it had such a low rating and remembering it deserved much more. What I don't understand is that upon looking at the votes cast for it, a majority of the votes were very high. Only 4 votes (12 percent) were at zero while the rest were 8 or above. Upon further investigation, I saw the explanation by IMDb about some secretive vote-weighing system. Hopefully my review will balance the scales. I don't know where you can see this flick now-a-days. If it becomes available on Vimeo like their other movies, I'll check it out again, for no other reason than to try to figure out why it got such a bad rating.
