Circus Tricks
A_Kind_Of_CineMagic2 October 2020
Ahsoka has been captured by Hondo and his pirates. The younglings she was with call Obi Wan for help but he comes under attack from General Grievous so with their ship damaged the younglings decide to try to save Ahsoka and join a travelling circus to infiltrate Hondo's den.

This is another fun adventure and the light hearted humour based aspects such as the circus, a drunk Hondo and some funny banter are balanced by some dark and dramatic aspects such as Ahsoka's peril and the explosive space battle and ship invasion where we get a great Obi Wan v Grievous face off.

The only flaw was that I felt Obi Wan leaving a message warning Grievous of what was happening was a bit silly. Other than that a great episode.

My rating: 8.5/10.

I liked Hondo, but I loved drunk Hondo!

I think Hondo may just have moved up to be my second favourite Star Wars character (behind Darth Maul) because of this episode. The 7.5 this episode has on IMDb is in my view a tad wee bit too low, and am I being too generous giving it a ten? Almost certainly, but the ending I feel is superb and is Star Wars comedy at it's finest, unlike a certain Disney film I shan't name here...

Another rescue mission

Warning: Spoilers
A disappointing follow up to two good preceding episodes. The story continues as the younglings plan to rescue Ashoka, meanwhile Kenobi is attacked by General Grievous.

First and foremost, I fail to understand why tell someone that the ship is about to blow up, when you want that person to be blown up with the ship. Pretty lame! Afterwards the writers have made a fool out of Kenobi, as first he abandons his fight with Grievous, then he tells him his plan and then he leaves the future Jedi o their own without even informing the council. He didn't even inform Anakin about his Padawan's fate. But I guess the makers are going to correct these mistakes in the next episode, better late than never.

The young-lings rescuing Ashoka, the whole setup seemed too easy, to say the least. Their should have been little more hurdles and difficulties. Grievous was under used, Hando was made to look a fool.

Direction: Average.

Script/story: Bad. Unconvincing.

Music: Good.

A disappointing episode.
