Great choice for the actor of main character plus with his own story telling connects with the viewer on a more personal level and together with the exciting script of other characters and wierd circus setting makes it a fun-to-watch crime show. only in the first episodes many things happen to hook the viewer: the psychology teacher looses a job, a wife, a lover and a nose but inherits a third of a circus that gives him a place to stay and time to figure all things out if he survives long enough...luckily he will also gain a partner to solve the crime that has similarly other convenient reasons and motivation such as clearing his name as apolice officer but with a guy that has nothing to loose he can guide and protect the not so naive teacher....
