Australia's Naughtiest Home Videos is an infamous example of how a show going too far. In fact, it was true to its title, as it was so naughty, it caused Kerry Packer, the owner of the Nine Network, to demand, in colorful language I dare not repeat, to have it pulled during broadcast and even go as far as cost people their jobs,, including host Doug Mulray, who was even banned from Nine Network for life (however, he would return to the network in 2005 to judge StarStuck, which happened shortly after Packer's death).
The show starts with a warning for parents and weak-stomached adults warning of the content, and that this is not Australia's Funniest Home Videos (a show which this special serves as a one-off to). Hosted by Doug Mulray, a comedian and radio host, this special consists of videos that are indeed as naughty as the title suggests (I cannot say how, as it may violate dA's terms of service). Also, Doug does make some jokes that can be hit of miss (the start has him making a joke about Rodney King, which I found tasteless due to this airing months after he was beaten by police (an action that sparked the L.A. Riots of 1992)
Yeah, the first airing, this was yanked after the special was halfway done and replaced with reruns of Cheers, but in 2008, sometime after Packer's death, it was reaired in its near entirety with commentary by Bert Newton. I say near entirety as the re-airing edits out jokes aimed at overweight people, which has become unacceptible over the sixteen years since its first airing. However, this is one special that is not for everyone, as anyone under the age of 17 or those with weak stomachs should steer clear.
