In the final scenes, the crew is seen flying through the air in a CH-53 helicopter; when the scene changes to the view in the cockpit, it appears they are in a Bell 206/406 with a yoke from a Robinson R22; when the scene change to the missile being fired, they appear to now be in Eurocopter AS365; and, finally after landing, there is a UH-60 Blackhawk on the tarmac. Aside from the sporadic aircraft changes, none actually have the capability to fire missiles.
When Nathan is running through the warehouse with two military officers, he escapes into a room as the other two are washed away in flood waters; however, moments later he runs outside and the ground is completely dry without a cloud in the sky.
During the Helicopter sequence near the end, there is an out of focus clip of a helicopter flying. This helicopter is a Sea King helicopter with a red nose and partially red tail section. These suggest they are a UK Royal Navy Sea King helicopter permanently configured for Search and Rescue operations.
When Specialist Tudor is eating crackers and peanut butter, the lid on the peanut butter jar is sometimes open and sometimes closed.
Throughout the movie, Johnny is wearing a light blue shirt until the family reaches the edge of the forest by the lake. His shirt is now dark gray while they cross the lake and once they reach the helicopter, he's back in the original shirt.
When the family evacuates their home. they are driving on the left side of the double yellow lines.
Man tries to radio a mayday and the antenna is absent.
When Nathan is in the eye of the storm, holding on to a storm drain as the storm lifts him into the air, for a split second there is a black cable attached to his ankle and then gone; and then, just before the captain reaches out to him, there is a black cable that appears through his shirt sleeve to the drain ladder and then gone again; and then, finally, he is clearly harnessed to something at his ankle in the air because the lines are too defined under his pants leg.
When Mona is sitting in the vehicle, waiting for her husband and son to investigate some abandoned cars on a highway, a stranger sneaks up from behind. As the camera moves along the side of the vehicle, a (white) bounce board from the production set is reflected. When Nathan turns around after hearing her scream, there is nothing along the passenger side.
At 9 minutes in, reflection of crew members can be seen on the tailgate of the car directly above the Chevy badge (bow tie).
Johnny says he knows where the helicopter is, yet it's Nathan, running straight to it, who leads the family without any guidance from Johnny.
